In August of 1717  363 Mennonite men in three ships arrived in Philadelphia. There were at least 500 people altogether, counting women, and children. (The names of the ships are unknown.)
Our ancestors Bishop Valentine Clemmer and sons Henrich and Christian were among the 363. Our Detweiler, Oberholtzer, Rosenberger, and Moyer ancestors were also on the 3 ships.

The Clemmer had enough money to purchase land in Skippack (now Montgomery County and Pequea (Lancaster County). This is a description of a similar journey.
